Our consulting and testing service was born out of a desire to assist several non-website clients when it came to our attention that they either had a problem with their existing website, or worse, they were simply not aware that there was a problem with their website.
Through our consulting service, we offer you an independent source for some technical and not so technical information, opinions and suggestions regarding an existing website and equip you with the knowledge and vocabulary to relay the issues back to the developer.
Through our testing service, we'll put an existing website through the same sort of rigorous testing that we do on our own websites during development and provide you with an independent report on anything we find. This can range from something simple like the correct use and compression of graphics and ensuring the website works acceptably on all major browsers, through to in depth testing of a database driven website to make sure it does not break under certain circumstances or unexpected conditions. It is unfortunate that many developers only check that the expected works, but do not take the time to check the unexpected and build in suitable handling for this which is what often results in visitors to the site finding themselves in a dead end or on some strange looking error page. |
